Linda M. “T-Tot” Steib Obituary (1940 - 2025)

Linda Steib departed peacefully on December 19, 2025 surrounded by her family at age 85. She was born September 6, 1940 to Simeon and Dorothy Laurent. Linda was known to many as T-Tot. She worked for St. James Parish School Board for 31 years. She leaves to cherish her memories husband Russel Steib; children Valerie Batiste and Sherrylyn Charles; Vacherie, LA.; Adrian Steib (Paulette) and Yvette Joseph (Samuel) of Gonzales, LA, and Demetrice Steib of Desert Hot Springs, CA. Sister, Marie Maddy Lewis and brother-in-law, Lazard Ellis Steib of Vacherie, LA; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Preceeded in death by parents Simeon and Dorothy Laurent, children Reginald and Erwin Steib; brothers Martin Philip, Simeon Laurent, Jr., Paul Dickie Laurent and her twin Errol Laurent. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 13281, LA-644, Vacherie, LA 70090. Visitation from 12 noon to 1:00pm followed by Mass beginning for 1:00pm. Private burial. Final care and professional services entrusted to Treasures of Life Funeral Services, 315 E.
