For ye shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Isaiah 55:12
Randolph “Randy” Anderson, Jr., son of Randolph Anderson, Sr., and Bessie Perrilloux Anderson departed this earthly life on September 30, 2020 at the age of 46. He was born on October 19, 1973 at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. He was a native of Reserve, LA and a current resident of LaPlace, LA.
Randy was christened on November 4, 1973 by godparents Angelo Bernard and Maranda Tregre Perrilloux. He accepted Christ as a young adult and grew up in Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church.
Randy attended multiple colleges and worked a variety of trades, none of which lead him into his true calling as a comedian, the giver of laughter who blessed all who came into his presence with his personality and realness.
In 1996, Randy became seriously ill and in need of a kidney transplant. He was blessed with the gift of love from his Aunt Gwendolyn Perrilloux Mills. He received a second transplant in 2011. Defying the odds, Randy went on to marry, have children, and in recent years, reconnected with his college sweetheart, to whom he was engaged to be married. He was happy, strong in faith, and at perfect peace when he departed this life.
He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, fiancé’ Rae Borden, sister Aprail (Copelon) Kirklin, daughter Randi Anderson, son Rion Anderson, stepson Andre Lee, niece Alaycia Cook, nephews Keilon and Cade Kirklin, and a host of family and friends.
He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents Freddie Lee Anderson and Felice Anderson Brown, maternal grandparents Joseph and Ella Perrilloux, cousins, and loved ones that will welcome him into heaven.
